Submission and categories

Preparing your entry

  • Enter each independent work separately. A series uses one title and states its composition, number of pieces and scope of judging.
  • Provide high-resolution renderings, detail images and wearing images. Conceptual works may use body-relationship or scenario diagrams to show the relationship to the wearer or user.
  • The design statement must cover the title, response to the theme, concept, materials, dimensions, structure and techniques, and explain fabrication feasibility and intended applications for the selected category.
  • Judging files and file names must not show names, affiliations or identifying marks. Identity, team and assistance information goes only in the designated administrative fields.

Categories

Choose one category that best reflects the work’s core design intent, principal materials and intended application. All valid entries are also considered for the Master of Creativity Award.

  • Gold: gold is the core material. State the fineness and the parts in which it is used. A gold-coloured appearance or surface plating alone does not qualify.
  • Jewellery: materials are unrestricted. The category considers artistic narrative, form, structure, fine craftsmanship and aesthetic expression. Disclose natural, laboratory-grown or synthetic origins and any treatments.
  • Fashion Jewellery: materials are unrestricted. The category focuses on everyday wear, contemporary aesthetics, varied contexts and product expression, including fabrication, production and market feasibility.
  • Other: choose “Other” if you believe the work does not fit the three categories above or you cannot yet decide. All valid entries are considered for the Master of Creativity Award; for Category Awards, the Organising Committee will confirm the category with you based on the work and the category requirements.
